My search for a netbook was a fairly easy one. I had my eyes set on the Dell Mini 9 for quite some time. The main reason being that it was so easy to install Mac OS X on to (thanks to the hackintosh community). Dell then cancelled production on the Mini 9 to make room for their newest version, the Dell Mini 10 and the 10v. I waited a couple of months to see if the Dell Mini 10v would have the same support that the Dell Mini 9 had in the Hackintosh community, and that waiting paid off. The community made it even easier to install Mac OS X on to the 10v, then it was to install on the Mini 9. Accompany this with a larger screen and larger keyboard, and my decision got even easier.
When I first received my Mini 10v it was running Windows XP. I started playing around with the netbook as soon as I got it, and I have to admit that it was pretty slow, running windows. This scared me a little bit, I was hoping that Snow Leopard would perform better. I then proceeded to begin the install of Snow Leopard, which only took about an hour. WIFI, sound, camera, and even my keyboard shortcuts all worked right after the install, I did not have to do any tweaking, or install any special drivers to get anything working.
Snow Leopard performance was better then Windows XP on the netbook. I was considering upgrading the netbook from 1gb of ram to 2gb of ram, but it is not necessary. I am able to browse the web and watch You Tube videos, which is all I ever wanted it for. I am very pleased with the Dell Mini 10v and recommend it to anyone wanting a cheaper and more portable Mac OS X machine. The Dell Mini 10v stock model is $300, add a copy of Snow Leopard for $30, and you have one powerful Macbook Mini. All that is left after the install is to put an Apple sticker on it, and your done. If you are looking for any support, or have any questions about installing Mac OS X on a Dell Mini 10v, you can visit the forums at MyDellMini.com.

Is the Mini10v an Atom based processor? How is it working since the 10.6.2 Snow Leopard update?

Yes it is an Intel atom processor. I have not upgraded to 10.6.2 because it does not include support for the intel atom processor. There is a way to upgrade to 10.6.2, but i stuck with 10.6.1 because it is working just fine for my web browsing needs.
